Several months ago, I reported that the 1980’s animated television program Jem and the Holograms was being made into a film. Like many 80’s babies, I was excited to relive a part of my childhood.
The official trailer is out.
My hopes of reliving my childhood are dashed. The only thing that this movie has in common with the television show is it’s name and the name of the characters. The only reason that people of my age might want to go to see this movie is another 1980’s icon, Molly Ringwald.
Based on the trailer, the plot is so simple that I have an idea of the story well before it hits theaters. I won’t give away the details in the trailer, but I will say that up until now I was excited to see this movie.
Now I think I will stay away from this movie.
