It’s amazing how an organization’s true colors sometimes come through.
The BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) has been virulent in the past few years in their anti-Israel campaign. On the surface, they claim to support the Palestinian cause (which is a farce, but that is a topic for another time), but in reality, it is a front for antisemitism.
The musician Matisyahu was scheduled to play at a concert in Valencia, Spain last week. He was banned from the concert for not agreeing to make statements against Israel. The ban was eventually lifted after the Spanish government exerted pressure on the concert’s organizers.
The issue here is not the man or his music. It is the fact that the BDS has shown their true colors. They care nothing for the Palestinian people, nor do they really know anything about what is truly going on over there. Their goal, like all anti-Semitic organizations, is to remove the Jews from their midst.
In the end, Matisyahu ended up performing and in spite of the haters, he proved that Am Yisroel Chai, the Jewish people live and will continue to live, despite the the thoughts and actions of others.
