Ever since the dawn of television, the number of programs set in and around New York City is long and growing longer. But there is only one Seinfeld (1989-1998).
Jerry Seinfeld (Jerry Seinfeld) is a neurotic, slightly self absorbed comic who lives in New York City. His circle includes Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Kramer (Michael Richards) and George Costanza (Jason Alexander). All of his friends are as self absorbed and neurotic as Jerry is.
Seinfeld was dubbed “the show about nothing”. While that is technically true, what kept it relevant and still keeps it relevant is that it dealt with the daily nitty gritties that we all deal with. Another feature that kept fans coming back, even now in reruns is that New York City is as much a character as the four lead human characters. Fans living in or visiting New York City are very familiar with the character’s haunts, whether fictional or real.
I recommend it.
This is a great series. I have watched it till s04. Will watch the remaining soon 🙂

It was very funny to me to hear old relatives complain about the characters on the show. Of course they are horrible people, that was the point!
