What would you do if you had the opportunity to go back to your teenage years? What would you have done differently, knowing what you know as an adult?
In 1986, Peggy Sue (Kathleen Turner) had that unexpected opportunity in Peggy Sue Got Married. Fainting during her high school reunion, she wakes up as her previous teenage self. Facing the same dilemmas she faced as a teenager, Peggy Sue is at a crossroads. She could simply go along with her life as she knew it to be or she could make another decision that might change the course of her life.
What I like about this movie is the “what if” factor. There is almost a fantasy aspect to the plot. What would we do, given the opportunity to undo previous mistakes or choices that we later regretted?
I recommend it.
