Just Jack & Will with Sean Hayes and Eric McCormack Podcast Review

Rewatch podcasts are the rage these days.

The newest rewatch podcast is Just Jack & Will with Sean Hayes and Eric McCormack. Will & Grace actors Will Truman (Eric McCormack) and Sean Hayes (Jack McFarland) break down each episode and speak to their many collaborators (both on and off stage) who made the show a hit.

So far, I am loving this podcast. The insight by McCormack and Hayes makes me love the show even more. Though both performers have played other roles over the years, it is clear that they still have an affection for these characters.

Do I recommend it? Absolutely.

New episodes of Just Jack & Will with Sean Hayes and Eric McCormack are released every Thursday.

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret Book Review

Puberty is a natural process in which we start to physically and emotionally grow from childhood to young adulthood.

Judy Blume‘s classic 1970 book Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret is the story of Margaret Simon. After coming home from summer camp, she gets the news that they are moving from New York City to the suburbs of New Jersey. While dealing with moving to a new town and socially acclimating to her new environment, Margaret is eager to get her first visit from Aunt Flo.

I don’t recall reading the book as a young girl, but I read it recently and I was blown away. Margaret’s first-person voice was and still is revolutionary. Her questions about life, faith (as the child of an interreligious marriage who has been raised with no specific religion), and what she wants out of life.

What blew me away was the pure honesty of the narrative and how universal her story is. I was also reminded why this book has been banned. It’s not just about romance (well as much as a preteen can experience). It’s about growing up and the questions that we ask along the way.

Do I recommend it? Absolutely.

Flashback Friday: Talk Stoop (2009 to 2019)

If there is one thing that New York City is known for, it is our architecture. Specifically, the Brownstone. It has become an iconic home for which many aspire to live in.

Talk Stoop was on the air from 2009 to 2019. Originally set in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, celebrities sat down with interviewers Cat Greenleaf (2009 to 2017) and Nessa (2018 to 2019) as they discussed their latest projects and personal lives.

While it could be seen as a generic talk show, it has a unique New York flavor that makes it stand out.

Do I recommend it? Yes.
