Flashback Friday-Road Trip (2000)

The road trip genre can be broken up into three different categories: family vacation/rebellion/buddy comedy.

The 2000 movie Road Trip falls in the buddy comedy category.

Josh (Breckin Meyer) and Tiffany (Rachel Blanchard) have been together as long as they can remember. Then Josh has one night stand with Beth (Amy Smart). That one night stand is recorded on the same day that Josh is planning to mail a video letter to Tiffany. Somehow, there is a mix up and the wrong tape is mailed to Tiffany. The only way to stop Tiffany from seeing the wrong tape is to get to Austin before the tape does. Can Josh and his friends beat the tape or is he destined to become a single man?

This movie can be boiled down to dumb college humor. While it might be funny to some, others might see it as a waste of brain cells.

Do I recommend it? Maybe.
